Is this safe?

Is this wire configuration safe?

A 269 motor is plugged into a 3-wire extension cable. This 3-wire cable is then connected to a shorter, 2-wire extension cable, which is then plugged into the two wire port on the cortex.

All the colors of the wire are matched correctly and the motor seems to run without problems. But is this damaging the motor or the cortex in any way?

Pretty sure it’s safe. Shouldn’t be damaging anything.

If anything, you’d probably want to cover the prong for the white wire.

It’s completely safe. Be sure to run a zip tie between the red and black wires of each plug to keep the plugs tied together.

Yeah as long as the wire colors are matched, just make sure they stay together.

Aren’t you going to want to use a motor controller instead? Then have an extension wire after connecting the motor controller.

I think that the 2-wire ports on the cortex have a device in them that is similar to the motor controller.Plus, this configuration would still have a 3-wire cord plugged into a 2-wire cord.
