Issues with arm raising

I have nylon spacers plus collars locking them into place. The vertical problem is the issue.

@Xenon27 how would this have them not strip vertically?

the shafts can no longer flex because there are c channels with bearing holding them where they need to be.

@Xenon27 would the bearing at the other side be sufficient or no? Also, how do I secure the other towers?

I have ones secured to the base, but I don’t know about the other ones

you would secure these towers just like you did the other two. you need bearings everywhere a shaft goes through metal.

@Xenon27 like this, right?

Also, it doesn’t fix this problem about how it fits in the flat:

If I put it in, the shaft looks bent.

Well that’s because the holes aren’t aligned, most likely the far left tower. Either swap it out for a longer c channel or move the bearings on the other three towers down to match the far left.

@Battlesquid I lowered them, and it’s too low

that means your towers still aren’t lined up properly. it is of utmost importance that your towers are perfectly upright and level, or you’ll have problems like this.

Thing is, this: it cant be misaligned…

is there a way I can do it with the current axle?

It most certainly can be. Look at how your towers are leaning still, you must secure them perfectly upright for this to work.

I got it so far, thanks!

Like this, yes?

Move the left side down 1 hole, it seems to be a tad higher up. (Move the axle down 1 hole, not the tower)
But I’m impressed by how far you’ve gotten! Good work! While your at it, I’d suggest bolting the towers on with nylocks, seeing as their an essential part

I made it for this, and dont knoe where to out the cortex. It lifts arms fine and everything, but I dont know about the cortex. If I put it in front it gets in the way of the tray:

and there it might get in the way of a gear.
Edit: meant this photo:

It is necessary, I was the team fabricator for IQ, VRC, and FRC. I know these things.

What’s a team fabricator?

Also, they very clearly somewhat fixed the issue, so a redesign wasn’t actually necessary. There aren’t many cases that truly need a redesign, though sometimes it’s less trouble to redesign, but I don’t think this is one of those cases.
