this is to see where teams are in the late season, how are you doing? what awards have you won(if any) and optional pictures of bots. also strategy highlights for your team.
Hi! We have been doing good this season I would say. We recently competed at the Pikes peak signature where we ranked 9th and managed to take home the create award! We sadly got knocked out in r-16 due to the refs miscounting auto with the final score that they posted being 30-31
We have gotten 2 awards, judges award and tournament champions. We also qualified for Create US open. It’s been an alright year
This is untrue. Your robot crossed the autonomous line, which automatically means that the opposing alliance won auton. Even though it was technically dragged by the blue alliance’s goal rush auton, that is the risk that you take when making a goal rush auton (SG8, engage with the autonomous line at your own risk). It is unfortunate that you were eliminated, but it was ultimately not the fault of the referees.
Congratulations! We (also MS) did too!
Our season has been going very well. We won 7 awards, 2 of which being excellence, 1 of which being tournament champions, and 2 of which being tournament finalists. We’re currently in the process of rebuilding for our state championship next week. Here is our robot, feel free to give tips.
Wow that a great robot! Congratulations on all the those awards! It look like it had a great place to attach a lady brown.
Other than adding a wall stake mechanism (it looks like this robot is designed with adding a lady brown in mind. Good job!) and gearing the wheels together, it looks like you have a great robot!
Isn’t this robot illegal? (Size)
We start with our intake flipped up, which makes us about 16" long. The width is pretty close, but it is 17.5 inches (one 35 hole c-channel)
According to sg8 B 1. Incidental Violations of will not be penalized, nor will they result in an automatic loss of the Autonomous Bonus as described by . However, this allowance only applies when opposing Robots are interacting with the same element.
Us and 334U were interacting with the 3rd mobile goal during auto and the refs unfairly gave them the auto bonus when it should’ve been auto tie.
It is what it is though, cant change it now.
May I ask why you guys decided to not use a gear ratio on your drive base? and is there a reason why your bottom stage is so long?
Our team has not done great this year. Although we did make the Texas Region 5 5A State Championship and are going to the Texas Region 5 World Primers March 1st, we have not won any awards, won a competition, or even made it to finals. But we have built another robot after the state competition due to flaws with the old bot. It’s almost done, we just need to build the Fish Mech and work on autonomous.
@15981A we are 1060B sister team and we lost to them and got tournament finalist
my season’s been going okay – we haven’t done the best performance wise but we’ve won two awards at the two judged comps we’ve attended: Sportsmanship and Judges. (as the notebooker and the person in charge of managing interview, i am so excited about this)
no wall stakes, but we have consistent scoring, an auton, AND an auton skills, all of which we’ve done in the past 3 weeks. last comp of the regular season is this saturday, so we’ll see how it goes.
hoping to qualify for states; if we can get our skills score up to about a 36, we should be okay for getting in off double-quals and comp cancellations.
Our season just ended sadly we didn’t qualify for states and we got knocked out by the #1 seed in our last tournament. We made it to semi though and beat the #6 and # 4 seed. Ended up dragging 6008A out of a positive corner as a last ditch effort but we lost 42 to 4. Our C team made it to states so our season isn’t completely over. I can share a small clip of us dragging them out if someone wants. Funny thing is the ref waved it off even though it seemed like it should have gotten us a DQ. Apollo one was a good sport about it tho.
For my second year doing competitive robotics, my season has been going very well. We a qualified for states and an opens tournament in Iowa. We have one a judges award and a skills champion award. Here is our robot!
According to a rule note I don’t feel like searching for autonomous line disqualifications don’t apply when two robots are interacting with the same element
I almost didn’t approve this post, but I decided to so I could use you as an example - Sorry, not sorry.
To everyone:
Please, be better than this.
If you’re going to try and help someone, please help them “correctly”.
This is worse than just telling someone to go “RTFM”.
We are not doing too bad. We recently made a floating intake, and we can score with about 95% accuracy now. We are also 29th on the leaderboard for Virgina, so theres that
