Leaking Pneumatic air tank

Our air tank is leaking air from where we pump into and we can not get it to stop leaking till it is at 0 psi. Help is greatly appreciated!

Somewhere in your system there is a leak so you’ll have figure out where and probably tighten something or make a cleaner cut on your tubing.
This article is for old pnumatics but could help.

Do you know where exactly it’s leaking? The things I would check since it appears to be on the tank would be tightening the valves, connecting the push connectors. If that doesn’t help you could try using Teflon tape on the joints. The best solution after that is replacing the Schrader valve.

You say it’s leaking “from where we pump into it.” Do you mean you can literally feel it coming straight back out of the valve (and not from the fitting where the valve screws into the tank)? If so you probably have a loose valve core. I’d never seen one of these until earlier this year when two of our schrader valves had the same problem. We fixed ours with a “Schrader Valve Core Torque Tool” (about $15 or $20) but I suspect that a “Schrader Valve Core Removal Tool” would have worked just as well, $7 on Amazon.

If the air is coming straight back out from the valve, it is likely due to a the valve being too loose. To combat this (even if you aren’t sure it is the issue), I would suggest taking a pair of pliers and then tightening them around the valve before proceeding to tighten it. This is what has been working for my team and it is usually the reason behind our air leaking from our tanks.

The screauder valve is leaking air every thing is tight and connected
