Would it be legal to automate some parts of a driving skills run?
More specifically, would we be able to automatically run the catapult for the first X no. of seconds of driving skills (ie. just making the motor spin when the program starts, without driver input), and only afterwards giving robot control to the driver? We will have a normal ‘driver-controlled’ program on the robot as backup.
Last year I was not that good at driving but decent at coding. At State/Regionals (Texas R3) I ran my auton skills for my driver skills and they did about the same thing, think I got a 170 driver and a 160-something autonomous, but same program. If you do fully automatic, you can just copy paste the autonomous section into the drive section instead of the drive loop. Probably could put the drive loop after the autonomous functions if it was semi
