lexan thickness

We were wondering if standard .093in lexan will suffice or if it must be exactly .063in to be legal. we are having a difficult time even locating anything less than .093in, so any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

It has to be .063in or it is illegal.

this is what we use

If all else fails we will have some extra with us.

I’ve found that 1/16" nominal thickness polycarbonate can have several thou of variation from one end of the sheet to the other.

I’d expect anything between 0.060" and 0.065" would be perfectly fine, and would even consider a ±0.005" variation to be within acceptable bounds.

Thanks, we have found some lexan of the correct thickness. Supposedlythickness will be inspected at worlds by a comparison of a legal piece to those pieces on the robot, so I would imagine that a slight variance would be acceptable.
