Are 3D printed license plate brackets allowed this year? I found some conflicting info in the game manual and wanted some clarity.
As of right now, they are banned. All 3d printed parts are banned as well as licence plates are required to be attached to the robot with vex legal connectors (i.e screws, axles, zipties)
They’d be considered non-functional decoration (similar to how license plates were last season), so no.
Read R19 again, it is unambiguous.
Specifically try R19-k:
Prohibited Items. The following types of mechanisms and components are NOT allowed: 3D printed Robot parts for any purpose, including non-functional decorations and license plates
