Does anyone think it would be possible to create a lift for a robot for nothing but net that would be able to high elevate the other robot without a ramp, but with only the lift, but it also being possible to have your robot have a shooting system, with the motors vex has? Maybe vex should have made a new stronger motor, which has 1.5-2 times more torque, but the same speed, but you can only use 2 max on your robot, or some strong aluminum or metal chain. What do you guys think of the lifting possibilities with the power of the vex motors?

It is going to be very interesting seeing teams innovative lift designs…

I’m personally thinking the best way is gonna be something using elastics. You only need to do it once, so you want a trigger mechanism (either a motor, a pneumatic, or best of all it gets triggered by the other robot going into the position it needs to be in for the lift) that releases a pin, allowing the elastics to pull the other robot up. No sense in wasting motors on a thing that only needs to go one way once in a match.
