Is it ok or appropriate to refer to the one specific type of loading method as China Load/China Loading? My team was discussing this today…or disagreeing about this today! They don’t want to seem uniformed but we also want to respect all the teams at Worlds and communicate well.

Most teams call it china loading, but you could refrase it and make perfect sense, e.g. loading the ball off the loading station.

I’m disappointed that the “Lady Brown” naming team hasn’t spilled over into VIQ.
We call it “Tick Tock” loading since the motion of the robot is like a pendulum of a clock, sliding in and out of the loading zone.

Thanks! Yes, this is what the kids came up with after some thought.
My team calls it the “Rapid Load Configuration” in our notebook and interviews because we thought the name “China Loading” didn’t sound appropriate, even though it is simply giving credit to the teams in China who first implemented it.
