Location of Overheating Components

In the wake of this thread I’ve ordered some industrial aerosol freeze spray to cool down overheating components between close-together matches, just in case. This has got me thinking: where exactly do I spray the freeze spray? I.e., where are the components (in the cortex/motor controllers/motors/power expander) that get hot enough to warrant near-instant cooling? Can anyone who has experience using freeze spray/canned air in this manner weigh in on where it’s to be sprayed?

Thanks in advance.

I have mostly seen teams spray it on the casing of the motor to cool down the motor’s internal PTC.

Motors are the place where you would want to spray it even if you do. It might not be necessary unless your motors are really getting hot. Cortex and controllers should not need it unless something is wrong
