Looking for Presentation Materials to Teach with VEX IQ 2nd Generation

Dear VEX Forum Support,

I am an educator interested in teaching with the VEX IQ 2nd Generation platform, and I would like to inquire if there are any available presentation materials or resources specifically designed for this version.

I am looking for presentation materials that cover various aspects of VEX IQ 2nd Generation from begining , including programming, building techniques, and project ideas. These materials would be immensely helpful in introducing my students to this innovative robotics platform and ensuring a smooth learning experience.

If there are any presentation slides, lesson plans, or guides specifically tailored for the VEX IQ 2nd Generation, I would greatly appreciate it if you could direct me to them. Additionally, any additional resources, tips, or recommendations you can provide for effectively teaching with this platform would be highly valued.

Thank you in advance for your assistance. I look forward to hearing from you and exploring the vast possibilities that the VEX IQ 2nd Generation offers for educational robotics.

Best regards,
Ubai

Have you seen the VEX IQ STEM Labs at education.vex.com?

thanks for your reply , yes sure i’ve checked it , while still little bit confusing to start with as many path and not clear from where we should start , not sure if there is a clear step by step presentation for new teachers to start with the basics

the prevention will be great during the class , so not sure if there is any presentation available there we should create ours ?

In my opinion, I would think of putting myself in their shoes. Now, imagine that they are all new. They probably don’t understand the concept very well. I would include things like the season’s game video, a link to the game manual, and maybe explain different concepts like game analysis and team management, and if wanted, you could also go into game strategy and cost analysis.
I would maybe take pictures of the basic parts and explain what they are and their purposes.
You could also include videos of maybe any competitions that happen as the season progresses so they can get an idea of what competitions look like. You can also always explain things along the way.
I would try not to make it too complex at first. I would just cover the basics.
Also you could ask the students about what they want to learn so you get an idea of what to teach.

Now, I participate in VRC, so I didn’t go into much detail with what to actually type down, but I know that if I were a beginner, I would like to know these things.

thank you very much for your reply , honestly we want to start teaching VEX IQ to cover all concepts first , we are not even planning to talk about the competition , and still we don’t have something sold on our hands to take kid on a clear learning path , so that’s why i’m asking if there is something clear to start it will be great .

thank you very much for your kind reply , we’ve got the certificate , and it also redirecting us to the STEM LAP and amazing activities , while I didn’t see a presentation that can explained during the class , so as far as I understand there is no such presentation for starting with VEX IQ that we can depend on and instead we have to pick/create our curriculum and activates depending on each class goal , isn’t it ?

I do not teach with IQ…

I do note that in the workshop, we don’t have projection to present formally, but rather students are using their chrome books to follow each of the STEM lab activities.

This seems to be VEX’s approach of using teacher as facilitator.
