Okay U want a challenge make a off road bot that can lift up a 1lb weight that is able to travel in snow. ALso make it so that u cant be looking at ur bot directly… hint (u can see what it sees).
Also the bot cant have co2 compressers, weigh no more then 1.5lbs
The arm on the has to have three or more joints including rotation.
For those of you who were around before DREAD got his first ban, this is what he does.
HE MISSPELLS ON PURPOSE to tick us all off. He’s a troll, just here to get everyone riled up. Check urbandictionary.com for “troll”-it’s an internet term, not a monster/goblin/whatever term.
By the way “travels on snow” is harder to define than that. (Virtually) infinitely deep snow? A little snow? Some snow on the ground can be conquered by the big wheels, while foot-deep snow you’d need something else- then again something else depending on how hard it was packed, loose snow or more well packed snow, like a footpath or something?
thats the stupidest challenge i’ve ever heard of. and i do believie you have already started on this because you have described it so well.
despite all this i still accept your challenge. although i live in georgia and we haven’t had snow in the past 5 years so we’ll have to assume it works
I have an already written up challenge that is complex enough to require using sensors and custom software to manipulate one type of non-ball / non-cube object and to keep track of the location of your robots autonomously.
I wrote it up to challenge some students I coach during the summer. They didn’t get around to attempting it, but maybe you fellows would like to use it.
If yes, let me know. If not, I’ll go back to sleep.
hey smart one, obviously either you didnt check this or you plan on lying about your bot(probably the later). but i weighted a micro controler, a battery, and 5 motors(3 piviots, 2 drive minimum) and that weights 1.5 lbs.
People -
Just because one person uses inflammatory language in their posts, does not give others license to do the same. Let’s keep it on a higher level.
By the way, some may not be aware of the ignore lists. It seems that if you add a user to your ignore list, their messages don’t appear. Looks like a useful tool in this case.
Most “trolls” want to be interacted with, so Ignoring their posts will remove their disruptive purpose. If you have a hard time not responding to the “troll’s” posts, turn on the Ignore feature (e.g."User CP–>Miscellaneous–> Buddy / Ignore Lists or jump directly to Buddy / Ignore Lists)
Yes.
I am going to be deleting posts that are inflamatory and insulting in nature. If there are any repeat offenders, they will be banned for violating forum rules.
I am also locking this thread.
In the future: please, please, please keep it civil and professional.
