My team is planning on fedex ground shipping our robot to our hotel soon, has anyone tried this before, or has anyone ever had any issues/ horror stories with mailing your robot?
We just sent our robot out this morning, we normally check it under the plane but we have connecting flights at airports that our known to loose things. Ours is shipped in a pelican case so it should be fine but I have heard of teams who recive a crushed cardboard box that when shaked sounds like a box of legos.
Thanks for the reply, glad I’m not the only one. I will be shipping ours tomorrow in a makeshift wooden crate, Not quite a pelican, lol I hope It will hold up.
It probably will be fine, is it ground or air shipping?
That would be true, lets just hope that if it does happen they packed extra parts
