Can the match load rings being introduced vertically and lean against on the field perimeter?
According to G9 c. Transitive contact, such as contact with the field perimeter that causes the field perimeter to contact Field Elements or Scoring Objects inside of the field, would be considered a violation of this rule.
This would be legal, as I have seen a team do this at CREATE US OPEN before in VRC. Even a stencil to place all match loads onto the field vertically is legal.
Yes, that is the team in question. The match loads are placed that way to be loaded onto a high-goal scorer. It is able to score 4 rings in each branch without the use of any motors.
There is nothing that suggests doing this is illegal. Although you are contacting the field perimeter by c. It’s not match affecting (directly) so it doesn’t matter.
Teams have also done it at large events such as the US Open and haven’t had a problem so it seems it totally fine.
