I’ve seen teams put mesh and/or poly carb over their their mogo lift (and in the mesh’s case, attached to their dr4b) , probably so that cones that fall inside the robot will roll out and not get stuck. Can someone give me a pros and cons of each?
We did a bit of both . We used poly carb flat across the top of the mogo lift because the mesh alone tended to sag in that area and the cone could get stuck down between the mogo lift & drivetrain section. We used mesh from the front of the poly carb up to the middle bar of the main lift so that any thing falling out of the intake would hit the mesh. The cones then can be dropped in the robot, slide down the mesh ramp, not get stuck at the bottom from mesh getting loose/saggy, and with a little pop out of the mogo lift they drop off the robot.
