Meta for Mix and Match

What do you guys think the meta will be for Mix and Match? I think it may be something that stacks the acorns inside itself and just drops it somewhere.

I thought the same thing but the corner goals will make the “internal” stacking a bit harder as you’ll have to get it out of the bot and into a tight corner; especially the two elevated corners. I also think the introduction of the beam makes the “internal” stacking idea a bit tougher to accommodate.

I think a “tall claw” design might be solid. One that can grasp two pins and pinch them so that the claw could then rotate to deposit the pins into the top holes on the beam.

We were also wondering if a “bull dozer” design could be helpful’ where you could expand arms out and quickly corral all of the pins on the field into one area and then just have both bots start building and placing the stacks around the field.

The beam throws a wrinkle into those bot designs but I agree that game is a pretty close match to this one.

As in the worlds, there were attachment depending on who you were partnered with. I think the dozer idea has merit as much as was the ‘passer’ in RR. Need to think of what functions those robots will need to do in order to see what attachments will need to be created. Multiple codes probably necessary as well…

But no, I don’t see a meta with the team challenge. One has to be good at one thing, the other has to be better at another.
