Mobile goal lift axle

I’m building a mobile goal lift and I don’t know if I should use a thick axle or the skinny ones

Using a high strength axle would most likely be beneficial because of its higher torque and durability.

Most definitely for whatever is connected to the motor as Qalis said.

high strength axle connected to the motor and screw joint or high strength axle for everything else

Definitely use a high strength axel, specially if you are only using one motor. Normal axels will bend and snap when put under a lot of strength. Try something like this

Thanks for that, but the axle won’t fit in the holes for the C-channel, so do I drill the hole in.

Yes you drill the hole in the c channel. In addition, you should be using bearings with a larger hole in the middle so that the HS shaft can pass throug.

also, when drilling make sure you use a good drill bit designed for drilling metal but I would recommend using aluminum if you aren’t already because it is easier to drill/file. It is also lighter so kinda a win-win
