Our pneumatic powered mogo mech is unable to tilt the goal and doesn’t have that much strength in general. It could tilt when we had a rubber stopper attached, but when it did the bar was extended far out and hit the rings.
Alr boss I got you if you want to tilt the goal with you pneumatics you need a few things.
- The resivor that you use to power your pneumatics shouldn’t be overloaded what I mean by this is only have a maximum of 2 small or medium positions or 1 large piston because the less air used, the better for the bot
- When you clamp onto the goal, the goal should ideally be above the ground rather than dragging so add a high strength shaft or a c channel to act as a base for the goal when it is clamped.
- When working with pneumatics, the tubing used shouldn’t be way to long so limit your tubing size to as small as possible
- Make sure all fittings are tight so no air is leaking when you use your pneumatics
Most likely the problem
The pneumatic piston needs to be lowered down so when you use the clamp, the clamp goes further down than original because your clamp might not go down far enough to even push down on the mogo to make it lift up.
Hopefully this helps

We are using 2 medium pistons Processing: IMG_2685.jpg…
My bad that I couldn’t respond right away but you sent the picture wrong so I can’t view it
2 I can send you a picture of our team’s clamp for inspiration. Our clamp is only 1 small piston and it can suspend the entire goal in the air
Can you show us a diagram of your pneumatic air system? Are you using a gauge? Where at? Are you using a pressure regulator? What is it set to? What is the pressure in your tank when testing?
To get the max amound of leverage on the goal, us a peice to push down on the very edge of the goal, then us stanoffs to lock the lip in. My team doesn’t have the best solution but the concept is ok.
We had a simular design, certain orientations and points of contact with the mogo will not tilt the goal back due to it’s geometry. Also, the platform you have underneath the goal may not be the coorrect shape to constitute the goal tipping back.
