More issues with intake lock

I have tried linear rails for locking, and that worked well, but it was heavy. I tried 448x’s lock, and that made it flex out too much. I don’t know what other lock that works, that is light and doesnt flex.

you could always make your intake drop down from the top, rather than from the sides. gravity is your lock, and it helps with compression.

@Xenon27 by chance would there be a mech the wouldn’t have me have to redesign? Also, is there any benefit for side flipout rather than top?

Side flip out can make it easier to intake your preload which must touch the floor flipping out from the side means that you don’t have to waste time deploying then turning to intake. Also, you get that satisfying click of the intake locks

@64540A Honestly that click is SO underrated and I look forward to it every time I use the robot.

My bot doesn’t have to fold out at all. I dont have any locks on my intake, just sheer rubber band compression.
(Tbh I should) but I can get 7 cubes up before I run out of tray

@64540A @2775Josh I haven’t heard this click, could you elaborate? Also, ideas on a lock? I’m going to use flipout.
