These teams are opening the gate, and then closing it. And they preloaded without being at the alliance starting tile?.. im pretty sure these are illegal moves?, and also the gates seem to be a little bit different than at other competitions? im not sure if these things are legal, any thoughts…
There certainly are a lot of rules this year and a lot more DQ-able offenses than in the past (although that might just be me that thinks that). What I’m trying to say is that it’s easy for the referees to miss a rule here and there. That being said though, it appears as though early in the season, there are a lot of people (not just in this video) who haven’t fully familiarized themselves with the rules yet. Looks like they customised their gates too; the two bars are way further apart than they usually are and the mount in the middle looks different…
The video is from Brazil, so might be worth getting someone to check that they’re following the rules properly? It’s possible that the rule manuals are available in English and Spanish, but not Portuguese (I could be wrong here), so they haven’t understood all the rules?
Not to mention that coach (?) enthusiastically waving his hands over the field giving instructions. I cringed a couple of times as it looked like he was about to smack a game piece/tower.
