Just wondering what is/are some OP things you guys managed to pull off in VEX. I will start.
This is from the last IQ season Squared Away. Basically I was in a match driving and I had to stack a green cube on the tall platform. I stacked it and when I thought it was going to stay, I backed out but the cube didn’t stay. Fortunately, I had quick enough reflexes to CATCH the cube with the robot before it fell outside the table and managed to stack it again and this time, properly. And all of this happened in the finals of a competition that we desperately needed to qualify to go to state. we won teamwork champions at the end, with driver skills (doesn’t qualify in that tournament), AND excellence. Honestly we were surprised.
The team 39702C the one up in the air is us and it is the STATE FINALS. We where able to hold the platform and it got so rough that the other team got under us and we got lifted in the last seconds but are teammate came up behide and ensure we did not get pushed and we ended up like this. VERY INTENSE when they scored it lol.
At our state finals, I did a pretty cool ball move at the end of the match securing our spot at (virtual) worlds. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_MUHBq9x-8 (match found at 5:55:28)
108 point match, (mostly) by ourselves.
It was what happened right before the match that was interesting; some people will know what I’m talking about
(why we’re called 9364B Blackout…)
anyways, It was the fact that I was the BACKUP driver… not tryna brag, but that match was kinda OP
One thing I can think of is at states. My team was in the protected zone placing a stack, and when we placed the stack we realized that our back wheel got stuck in the goal zone which prevented us from exiting the zone and backing away from the stack. So our alliance partners came and latched onto the back of our robot and pulled us out. We somehow worked together well because our stack was still standing and we were able to do this in a couple of seconds.
(I have no clue where in the TN live stream it is in so I did not post the video)
My traybot didnt have any tilter code so it constantly ran the tilter at 50 percent speed. As a result I couldnt stack normally, and had to resort to throwing my stacks upright by gaining enough speed with the tilter and then suddenly stopping it to make the cubes tip into a stack.
Somehow I managed to only drop 1 stack in the whole tournament
Kentucky State Middleschool Championships: Finals match #3
5 seconds left stack falls, team scoops up thier fallen stack and backs away just in time to score the winning stack. Mighty intense.
My most OP match. Sure, it’s not the most impressive ITZ match at all, but have you ever had an opposing team outright tell you “good game” before the match even began? The sweet revenge when we pulled the upset.
SNY state semi-finals, 16099A pushed both teams off the center platform, then 16099B climbs center at the last second Loved how crazy climbing was in TP
