Most powerful things you have created or seen in vex

So what are some crazy extremes you have made or seen in vex.
For example:
like a 6 or 7 ft. robot
1800 rpm drivetrain
furthest launcher
1000 lines of code

anything like this works
My team made our flywheel this year with the capability to go to 9000rpm but only peaks at 6000rpm.

I’m in the process of making a swerve drive, although I’m not done with it yet

A VEX U team at worlds last year had a tape measure expansion. It was a bunch of pieces of tape measures that were folded up, and when they were released they covered almost every tile.

My teams flywheel can hit people across the field at 45% power and when without bearing flats it hits 100db.

Now add flywheel weights to the spin up disc before you launch it and create a weapon of mass destruction

You could make that into a game. Set up a goal and just launch and see who gets the most in

Yeah at full max ours can go like 18 ft and is loud but that is impressive

Or throw about 6 more flex wheels on it and do a 8 shot.

PYRO air cannon that shot the discs out of their opponents goal in spin up

Dude, I saw that I could not believe that literally, the scores could easily be 20 to 115. That is kinda of like hailstorm when they get double zoning and just completely clear out their opponents goals.

3141A’s TiP bot was pretty nifty https://youtu.be/fVg3Lujm0Qw?si=9FEMcv-Hqj4KAATl

One of our sister teams last year made an orbital gearbox for their flywheel that could reach around 10,000 rpm.

Over the last four years I have accumulated 28 C++ files (because I refuse to use any premade libraries) totaling 3,043 lines of code. :man_shrugging:

This is the kind of stuff vex needs. Much more important and useful than any robot or competition could ever be. Shows some really valuable life skills that can be gained from joining robotics.

have to partially agree with that. While the device is simple it really shows how robotics can be used in a simple way. And if you learn the basics now your good for life.

You have programmed everything from scratch? Do you use the VEX API or did you make that yourself as well?
