I don’t know what motor and gear ratio i should use. Should I use a red motor with a 84-tooth gear and a 12-tooth gear. Or should I use a green motor with a 60 tooth gear and a 12-tooth gear. I’m mostly asking because I just tried to use a 84-tooth gear and 12-tooth gear but there was not enought torque
Sounds like you should continue your testing program, and document the results of your testing in your engineering notebook. Your design may be pretty specific; therefore the opinions of others who have not seen your design may have little value.
This is for a flywheel correct? Red geared 7:1 will not be enough output rpm as it is only 700rpm, which is pretty much just a blue motor. 7:1 on green is also not enough as its output rpm is 1400, the most popular flywheel rpms for spinup will most likely be something similar to 3000-4200rpm. Testing all of this is definetely good for notebook and beneficial for future game knowledge. https://tryitands.ee/

The optimal flywheel rpm is going to be different for each robot based on factors such as angle, number of motors, and ramp size and shape. You will have to do individual testing for your bot. However, most teams find success in the 2500-4500 rpm range.
