We have a brand new motor that is not being recognized when updating our firmware. We have switched ports and cords. How can we fix this?
We are sorry that you are having this problem. To help resolve this situation, please disconnect all other Smart Devices from the Robot Brain and plug this motor into Port 1. When there is only one device connected to the Robot Brain on Port 1, the Robot Brain will attempt to force communication to allow a firmware update/reinstall. After the motor is connected, reboot the Robot Brain and connect it to your computer with the VEX IQ Firmware Update Utility to reinstall the Smart Motor firmware.
