Motor randomly spinning fast

So I have no idea why, but my 100 rpm motor on my cata randomly started to go insanely fast, like 600 rpm fast (we had 600 rpm on our cars for a while). I have absolutely no problem with this cause our torque didn’t decrease but any ideas why this happened? (Again, I am not complaining, this is amazing considering our first tournament is tomorrow)

Congrats dude I wish I had a motor like that

This is quite a blessed glitch.
Are you sure you have the right cartridge?

it may be that you have the motor programmed as a blue 600rpm cartridge so the brain just thinks its spinning at 600rpm

It would make sense if the motor thinks that it is spinning at 600 rpm when in fact it is spinning at 100 rpm because of the motor cartridge, but how the OP describes it is that the 100 rpm cartridge is somehow physically spinning at 600 rpm.

Regardless of how it is, I’m interested to see the cartridge itself and whether something internally is causing the motor to spin so fast.

No it is currently set to 100 rpm (red)

Yes it’s a red, even if the cartridge had the wrong color, the cata wouldn’t pull all the way back because of torque.

What’s your gear ratio it might be going faster if you have a really fast gear ratio.

I think that when the motor had the old cars, I think it though it still had it in the motor and just wanted to spin at 600 RPM. But this is so blessed of a glitch that can be so useful.

It’s probably not their gearing because they said they put the 100 RPM motor on the catapult. You would think that it would be a torque-gearing so it’s not the gearing.

Our cata was a 36 to 84

Could you send us a video of the motor spinning fast?
