Motor reading as a bump sensor

So right now our team is having a frequent problem where the motor is read as a bump sensor. We’ve tried replacing the brain, changing the wire, changing the port and doing anything programming related. But it still reads as a bump sensor.

Anyone have any ideas as to why this happens?

I’m assuming you did the “Put the Motor into Port 1” and use the firmware program to try to force update it. If you did and it’s still a bumper, you should contact VEX support directly.
