Motor RPM vs. Real World RPM

Hey there o/,

I was wondering if anyone has done any testing on the accuracy of the RPM data given by the built in encoder and compared it to tachometer values. I know that generally the data isn’t that great but I wasn’t sure if, because the flywheel is moving so fast, the error is mostly negated.

Yes. It’s dead accurate regarding the reported rpm of the motor. Note that this is NOT the velocity the motor is commanded to achieve, but the measured value it can report back to you.
