Motor

how much battery capacity per hour is taken when a 393 or a 269 motor is used?

Just 1 motor? Not very much at all. We once had a robot run almost constantly for 3 hours on 1 battery, and it had 4 269s.

If you want a comparison, I don’t think that 393s use any more current than 269s except for when they stall.

If you tell us about your reason for asking, we might be able to give a more meaningful answer.

http://www.vexrobotics.com/276-1491.html battery is listed as nominal capacity 3000mAH (= mA * Hours)
[http://www.vexrobotics.com/276-2181.html 269 motor is listed as 180mA free to 2600mA stalled, all numbers +/- 20%

In theory, since 2600mA < 3000mAH, you should be able to run one 269 motor for more than an hour on this type of fully charged Vex battery, even if the motor is stalled, and much longer if the motor is not heavily loaded.

In practice, Your MaH May Vary.](http://www.vexrobotics.com/276-2181.html 269 motor is listed as 180mA free to 2600mA stalled, all numbers +/- 20%)
