So, we have two 393 motors on our robot that start spinning the moment the cortex is turned on. They are both using speed controllers. Rest of the motors on the robot seem fine.
Even without the joystick connected (the second the Cortex is powered on) the motors start spinning.
I’ve had that problem before too. I found that replacing the motor controller that is connected to the motor in question solved the problem. Just my two cents…
Make sure they are plugged into the Cortex the proper way. I can’t remember exactly how the motors were plugged in but recently I tried to help some kids with their clawbot, and the moment I turned on the Cortex, the thing started driving all over the place. It turned out they had crammed the motor leads into the Cortex every-which way.
I don’t remember exactly how they had them plugged in - I just pulled them out and plugged them in the right way and all was good.
