Like @ViljoRim said, an equilateral triangle is easiest, but if you want to go for a right triangle, you can use the Pythagorean theorem in beam lengths to get a perfect triangle. (ex: a 1x3, 1x4, and 1x5 make a right triangle). If you want a scalene, you will need to experiment until you get something that works.

I would add more rubber bands bring them closer to the middle and add a hard stop
