I noticed a similar thread to this, but it appears to be locked for necro. What are people planning on naming robots/teams for next year?
My team is rolling over our team name of “Unprepared In Advance”, however our robot name is up in the air.
Our robot name will always be “Wolverine”, but I don’t know what to name our team
X-Men of course.
I’m having a hard time looking for the +1 or like button for this comment.

My son’s team was 575 which has always been “Exothermic Haiku.” Exothermic is their club name, but can anyone figure out why they are Haiku?
I like that name. Pretty clever.
This year we had Atlas, Sisyphus, and Prometheus. All Greek Mythology themed. I dunno if the students will want to pick a new theme or make those names permanent.

Vexinators for our team name and Johnny number 5 for our robot name
We began with the 4 elements of ancient Greece and added Life and Faith for the team names as we are a private Catholic High School. We really haven’t gotten into robot names except 536E has a legacy name of
“Hawaiian Breeze”

These have remained for several years and will continue into the future.
Our team name and robot name are completely unrelated 
Our team name is Frostbite and our robot name is either going to the “Meme Machine” or “Leeroy Jenkins.” I need to make a poll for which one. . .

I have heard some pretty great names so far, I just thought of one earlier today, naming the robot either Deviation or Divergence.
Haven’t talked to my team yet, but sounds kinda cool and actually has some meaning behind it
At the beginning of this year, I tried to get the team to name our robot “The Charm”. It was (still is) our 3rd year competing, and I felt certain that we were going to worlds this year. Y’know, third time’s the charm.
The rest of the team didn’t like it, and the robot is as yet unnamed.
