I’m a new programmer, and was looking to view some of my team’s programming files to use as a reference. The problem is that these files were created in VCS, and since this was discontinued I’m not sure if there’s another way I can open the file. I never got a chance to download VCS myself, and it isn’t letting me open it in the new software. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
What filetype did you get? vexcode has an import feature under ‘file’ if they just exported the whole project. If they just sent the code then you could just copy and paste the contents.
I’m not 100% sure if this answers your question, but the file was on Dropbox and the file type was .vex. When I tried to “open with” the v5 text software it didn’t work correctly unless I was doing something wrong
If I’m not mistaken, that’s the whole project. To open it you have to open vexcode, go to the top left ‘file’, and select ‘import’.
