New Excellence Criteria, looking at the numbers from MOA event

Of the teams that played at MOA, only the following 8 teams were eligible for the Excellence Criteria by being the top 30% for driver, programming, and teamwork. They are sorted by their teamwork rank as that was the primary sort in my spreadsheet.

Name Driver Rank Programming Rank Teamowrk Rank
229V - ACE Robotics - Won Excellence 1 1 1
19589A - Hope Robotics 10 4 2
6008C - C U Later 20 10 6
94W - WInnovators 14 19 7
1469A - It Is What It Is 3 7 9
5203G - Gremlin 7 2 13
5062X - XenoFox 18 17 24
2775V - Jackson Area Robotics 30 29 26

I’m curious (and admittedly have not RTFM) - how did you calculate the Teamwork Rank?

Jackson area robotics (2775V) was not considered for excellence at MOA. This is because only 87 teams ran skills. And 0.3*87 is 26. Since they were 28th they were outside the top 30% of teams who ran skills.

Looks like it’s just the event rankings.

Seems like @ sankeydd just got his terms mixed up.

It is likely the qualification ranking as specified in updated criteria for Excellence.

Yup, I’ve got VEX IQ brain.

Nope, it’s 30% of the total teams.

From: Excellence Eligibility criteria : Robot Events

Teams that have not run skills should be considered as having a score of zero for ranking purposes.
