New to Purdue PROS

Hi, my team has always been using vexcode and always do the bare minimum for the autonomous segments. I am new to C++, but i heard EZ template can help me reduce struggles of learning C++. I am like pretty new to pid, odementry and all. It would be helpful on where to start and what are the advantages of so.

Hi, I used be from 8078 where programming for autonomous period was hard (from Cortex Era). The main issue for my team previously is that there isn’t much sensor for us to code our autonomous so it is not consistent and we do not have the physical field.

We had this problem for one of the year where our autonomous was super inconsistent. We ended just do super simple autonomous where we just push game elements to scoring zones.

I will say program macros, this helps your driver.
For example, program 1 button that is sticky for conveyer , 1 button that auto lifts your 4bar to max height / medium height. The macros did help me a inter school competition, it reduce human error and run time.

Ask your driver what do they want. Also get a driver who can super defensive, especially if your robot cannot score.
