I was looking at videos for the Vex EDR competition and I saw an idea that I thought might work for my team. The problem is, the design uses lexan pieces that are cut into a certain shape. I have seen plexiglass used on robots before and I was wondering whether my team would be able to use parts like like the ones I saw for my robot.
Yes, you’re allowed to make parts out of non-shattering plastics like Lexan as long as its cut from a sheet not exceeding 12" x 24" x 0.070"
Plexiglass is a brand name for acrylic (illegal), and Lexan is a brand name for polycarbonate (legal). Make sure any plastic you’re using is on the list of legal materials that was posted above.
