Hi everyone, my team was wondering what the minimum amount of matches, and maximum amount of matches for both LRT and LRS for worlds this year is. We couldn’t find it anywhere online.

You’re not gonna like this answer because it’s vague, but it depends on how many teams register. In LRS, you will always have 6 matches: 3 driver skills, and 3 programming skills. As for LRT, you can use 2019 Worlds as a reference; in 2019 each team played 11 qualification matches. It will probably be less this year because less teams are interested in virtual Worlds due to the high cost.

There are no matches for LRS. Teams will conduct their 3 driver and 3 programming (well, up to 3 for each categories as some teams might be satisfied with their 1st or 2nd skills runs) just like they have in past LRS tournaments.
I would garner that the number of LRT matches could depend on the size of the tournament (#of teams), but this data will be available once we get closer to worlds (in the past each team has played ~10 matches @ worlds).
