Old Vex 393 Motors Vs Modern Motors

I have been looking back at some old robots from past years, as this years game has some aspects that are “blasts from the past.” I have seen some robots from starstruck employing an amazing RD4B running on 2-4 393 motors, but Im not sure if they are a 1:1 facsimile of modern motors or if they are weaker/stronger. Could someone help?

The 393 motor was named that way because the power at design stage was 3.93W. Same for the 269 motor (2.69W)

Back in May I had posted the theoretical speed-torque curves for the 393 and 269 motors. Other forum members did experiments and IFI confirmed that the curves matched their test data, Life was good. In another thread I had used the theoretical data along with other measurement to estimate motor current based on commanded and measured speeds.
