Online VEX Notebook

I was wondering how I could format the notebook in a way that is clear and organized.
Currently, I am using an online template to format my notebook. However, the grid lines often cover the text and it makes it harder to read. Should I put the text into a textbox and fill the textbox in?
How do you format your notebook?

For our notebook, we don’t use the lines for an entry, we just use a text box. For example, an entry from today:
