I was just cadding a push back bot on onshape with the v5 parts library and noticed that the pillow block is crashing out, is it just my cad thats just doing this? Are there any similar things happening on other peoples computers and is there a fix?
If you look at the model, you’ll see that the face of the pillow block bearing that you have constrained your c channel to is not perfectly perpendicular to the surface the pillow block bearing is mounted to. This is present in even the CAD model direct from VEX’s website:
I’d suggest constraining your c channel to one of the mate connectors inside the cylindrical hole of the bearing and applying an offset, rather than constraining it directly to a mate connector that is on the side surface of it.
I also went through this issue, put your mouse inside the pillow bearing and hold shift and press the face u need as shown below. The c-channel should be straight after that
Hope this helps!
Sorry, I meant the Y-axis.
I used onshape for my full bot. Anytime you are trying to mate something to another thing press m and try to click the side that is actually going to touch when you click the other piece. If it still ends up being the wrong way around, press the arrows and the circle (if needed). Hope this helps!
