Is it me, or are there a ton of parts that are out of stock? I am talking about really basic parts. Shaft collars, axles, gears, sprockets, etc. It is really difficult to keep a program moving forward when so much of the basics are not available. Any suggestions?

I"ve been waiting for shafts for a couple weeks, almost a month now… Just need 12" shafts cause we dont use the short ones.
Yes, you have just observed a dilemma in the supply chain. As far as suggestions, just buy the super competition kits as they come with all the stuff that a basic team could need.
Those are also backordered…

Oh, this must be a recent development as my team acquired two not to long ago. I guess all we can do is sit with our puppy dog eyes watching the vex website.

My issue with that is that I don’t need everything in those kits, so it is a waste of money.

I guess you would have to wait it out until it gets back in stock 
Why not contact other teams that likely have a surplus of items, and see if you can pay them for the supplies. Alternatively you can ask a team to loan you parts.
