Looking at the rules it is unclear to me what the definition of an owned goal is. Is it just the top ball or the top ball if there are three. For example, if there is only one red ball in a goal, does red own it, or is it unowned?
Just the top ball (20 chars)
So if there is only one ball in a goal it is owned by that alliance?
Correct:
No requirement that the goal contain any particular number of balls.
So an owned row could be uneven? An example would be a row that has red on top on all three, but there are two balls in the first, one in the second, and two in the third?
Yes, as long as all the goals in the row are Owned by the same alliance, that’s a Connected Row.
Thank you
Sorry to revive this thread. I feel dumb asking this, but therefore wouldn’t the half win point for completing home row in auton automatically be awarded to each alliance for doing nothing? According to the field setup, each alliance already owns a completed home row. What am I missing?
You start the match with your opponent owning the goals in your home zone. You must score your color ball to the top or your 3 home zone goals to own them and receive the WP bonus.
Thanks. I somehow managed to make meticulously detailed sketches and missed this. Ah, well, I suppose my charts needed improvement anyway…
