Parking Lock Mechanism?

#1

Hey,

I was just wondering if its possible to have a mechanism that places two like supporting stands to lock you in place when you’re on the center platform?

Thanks

It is possible. Get a rack and pinion setup and lower legs that would lift the robot. If you have v5 then you could go with treads. More traction and since v5 has more power than 393s you can get a small speed ratio. Saw someone do it at competion. Once they got to the high platform no one could get them off.

Be wary of <SG10>.

#4

How would you use treads, and can you do it with 1 motor?

#5

Maybe 1 motor per side.

#6

for <SG10> does the floor count as a field element?

Im not familiar. What is sg10 again?

#9

I would suggest a rack and pinion (with adhesive foam on the end) at a backwards angle.

You should be fine with that, as most likely you would be lifting thw wheels off the ground
