So we purchased a replacement partner joystick (Our arm driver dropped the original one too many times…) recently, and went to use it. However, upon powering the Partner Joystick up, the “Power” light gives a slow green blink but nothing else. Linking the master and partner joystick yields no response from the partner joystick (We hit buttons that SHOULD do something, but nothing happens)
(Mind you, the robot’s partner joystick code does work, it has been verified with yet another partner joystick.)
So in short, do we have a busted partner joystick? Or am I missing something incredibly obvious?
On the Master joystick, we plug the link cable into the marked “Partner” port. The other end of that cable goes into the “Partner” port on the Partner joystick.
The correct blinking pattern for a Partner Joystick upon power-up is:
POWER LED- slow green
LINK LED- slow green
The correct blinking pattern for a Partner Joystick once a link is established is:
POWER LED- slow green
LINK LED- fast green
If you only have a slow blinking POWER LED, you might need to mail back the units for further analysis.
