This is great! Thanks for coming out with this. Saves our teams $120 a piece.

Keep up the awesome work guys!

Is this compatible with the VEXnet Joystick Power Adapter?

It sure is. It’s exactly the same thing as the “regular” joystick, it’s just sold separately for a smaller price.

Jordan,

It is not the same thing, just the same plastic. The electronics are completely different. In a nutshell we removed all of the high cost electronic components that were required to run VEXnet since the partner joystick does not need VEXnet.

If you try to use the partner joystick as the only controller, it will not work.

Oh wow, my bad. That’s better than I thought it was! Okay, sorry about the assumption!

I do have one question: I’m assuming that the “Factory” port is for the programming cable, for updating firmware in the joysticks and such and therefore can also be used with the VEXnet Joystick Power Adapter? Or is my assumption wrong? Because by having “VEXnet Joystick” in the name, it almost sounds like not?

Thanks, Mr. Paul!

So, you can’t put a VexNet usb key in it and connect it to a robot? it looks like you can. Well when the school year starts and build season begins i’ll take a closer look.

It won’t work alone – it doesn’t contain the VEXnet circuitry.

Ohh ok I see what he meant by “all the expensive stuff”
