Recently Rapid Relay released, and the entire game is sort of based on speed. How can we achieve such speed? It is all related to the drivetrain. Most drivetrains I’ve worked on tend to have a 4 wheel drive to increase turning speed and such, and require a row of gears connecting both wheels. My question is, has anyone found perfect spacing for these gears? If not, is their any place where measurements for parts can be found? Thank you.
I would just search up vex iq parts list menu
I would recommend chain for speed. Experiment with different weight to torque ratios to get the fastest drivetrain possible.
I would try using sprockets and chain first then experiment with gears so you can still work on other mechnisms without sacrificing driving.
Here is a guide you can use to create a test bed for speed,
And a bigger guide
This will give you a great understanding on the gears and ratios.
