Perfecting Goofy Polls

Just a general purpose post to spot trends in building choices and highlight the most commonly used strategies. If you don’t have a goofy style robot, please refrain from inputting data. Although some information might translate to other designs, I’d like to keep this focused.

Drive gear ratio/motor rpm
There are other possible ratios, but I’m excluding <200, >1000. Select other if you don’t fall into the provided range. I’m also not including sprocket/gear combination ratios. Just choose closest matching ratio. If you run 1:1 600rpm for instance, select 1:3 200rpm.

If there’s anything big that I missed just lmk and Ill be happy to add/edit. For anyone confused about gear ratios, 12tooth = 1, 36tooth = 3, 60tooth = 5, 84tooth = 7. Hopefully these results prove interesting.

Does this account for any kinds of arm variety or is it just motor ratios?

This is mainly for 2 bar lifts, but a lot of teams have added small 4 bar structures to be able to easily rubber bands their 2 bars. Adding the mini-4 bar linkage also lowers the motor, which helps with center of gravity and subsequently tipping issues.
