Why was VCS left in the past? I never had any problems with it and I personally loved the robot menu where you could see the brain and motors on your screen. I don’t remember if it was a thing in the text version of VCS because I programmed my first bot with blocks and I used text for my autons.
VCS was painfully slow, had memory usage issues, couldn’t save certain things, and was missing a large number of features. It was barely usable and wasn’t a good experience for a lot of other people.
The devices menu to the side in VEXCode is much more intuitive and a better UX
