Page 7 shows how motors are mounted to a bearing flat.

So last year I used this technique for my drive. It’s a great way to make a drive due to the little friction in pillow bearings. What you do is put the pillow bearings on the bottom of some C-channel and then mount the motor perpendicular to the C-channel where it lines up with the bearing. The motor will be looking over the side of the metal. I can post pictures if you need.
