Surely someone has a way to mechanically (or with a neat bot solution) to sort the different VEX IQ connector pins. How do they do it in the factory?

They just make one flavor of pin per injector. If they count, it’s only counting the same shape so it can be specialized, or they are doing the count by weight.
When I sort, I have a shallow baking tray (18x30) that I dump pins into the center and then push them by size out to edges and corners. I can sort a full classroom kit in about two mins.
@DRow may be able to post pictures of the factory and VEX Kitting and Shipping. But a lot of the mfg stuff is proprietary and isn’t up for general viewing.
