I am on a team going to worlds and our team wants to make a cool pit, do you guys have any ideas?
I dont know if this is really that feasible with luggage and stuff, but I saw a team with a few field tiles in their pit for practice last year. I also saw a team with a map where other teams can mark where in the world they are from.

SkillsUSA in their national convention center had one booth where they had a map with the US and pins (our version of stickers, 3 per state) they collected. Maybe you could have something similar (big map of the world and/or US and pin stickers from each team you meet).
You can also do this with a map of the pit area.
That would be cool. Although fitting that in a 8x8 is goin to be hard. Remember you need a worktable, parts, robot space, and all the other stuff. I think a vertical shelf cart with the robot, game pieces, controllers, programming laptop, and any other important small thing to keep there is good. Spirit there would be cool. You can use it as a display for a business presentation. We have one that breaks down for FRC. We put the pins that teams trade on their, getting that going in vex would be cool. The nice thing with VEX is that that looks good in the pits but also make getting everything to practice field and matches easier. I doo like the map that’s really cool. The tiles just won’t fit in a 8x8 to have any space.
TL;DR Limit stuff for an 8x8. Make a display cart that also transports for matches. Map is cool.
